Welcome to the site. I’m madphoenix. In a nut shell this is a blog about anime, however as one knows there are many aspects of culture that often are interesting to anime fans so I will probably include posts on J-Culture, music, and/or relevant video games as well.  My purpose here is to put some of the thoughts and topics about anime that I find interesting out to the world in an organized format. I hope that in doing so I can make some interesting or even time wasting reading for people and that you guys as visitors will have some fun. So feel free to read and comment because is all more fun when we can talk about the obsession right? 

Who am I? I’m just your average Otaku. I enjoy anime and many aspects of japanese culture as well as enjoying video games. I hail from America and thus most of my news will be from that region. As far as where I am in life – let’s just say I’m legal for everything except social security and I have a long way to go before that Im just a friendly person hoping to make an interesting anime spot on the web.

As for the site name you may recognize it from the opening theme of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It means in english (roughly of course) “It’s an adventure, right? Right?” That phrase has always just seemed to me to reflect the experience of of discovering new anime from a new culture. In fact, most new things in life are like that. When you’re having fun with things you enjoy its like life is an adventure – so that’s my attitude toward it all – hence the title.
